If you found your way to this webpage, it means you are already taking steps to finding your life aligned with joy and inspiration!
Congratulations!
WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE MENTORSHIP?
All of the programs here are unique to Epona Ridge, and have and at their foundation, the Epona Approach to Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning, Reiki Healing and the Abraham-Hicks principles of The Law of Allowing and living with deliberate intention.
In this sense, your experience is personalized and is specifically designed to support and develop your strengths with the tools for advanced personal growth.
Barbara is a highly skilled and sensitive facilitator who has an uncommon ability to empower and inspire participants. She gives you the tools to find your inner clarity so that you can create a foundation of continuous alignment with your heart, and move forward in building your life/livelihood of personal joy. (see testimonies below)
Our philosophy of interpersonal connection with all beings, animal and human, was best described by Ram Das when he defined 'Namaste':
"I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells.
I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light, and of peace.
When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, We are One."
WHO IS THE MENTORSHIP DESIGNED FOR?
Over the years, Barbara has found that there are some common threads throughout the individuals who thrive with the experience at Epona Ridge in personal growth and Equine Facilitator Training.
The Mentorship helps enhance the personal life journey as it spans eight months with four separate retreats in addition to interim virtual study.
Here are some of the common threads from past participants as they experienced themselves through the program.
If you find that these statements mean something to you and the life you desire to live, then you have come to the right place!
Welcome home!
WHAT IS THE MENTORSHIP?
The subtle art of facilitation and walking the path of the healer is quite a different journey from participation in individual retreats. Personal growth is expanded over a much longer period of time and is designed to support a life process shift that practices healthy self care, releases resistance, and allows the expansion of personal joy.

It is designed to enhance your personal experience of life and to empower and inspire the Soul. This extended intensive provides a wonderful process to create new and life enriching patterns in life. »Business Development:
The second track is for entrepreneurs who want to integrate a lifestyle career in the field of facilitating others.
It is imperative to have the necessary training. The liabilities and intricacies of facilitating with horses, especially with all the variables that can come up, requires understanding the subtle queues and learning the path to a partnership in healing with your equine co-facilitators.
We have carefully designed a program that provides the solid foundation for you to create your own business or expand your skills within your organization. We offer an extended curriculum for working with horses and humans, improving your intuitive awareness with others, and learning the subtle art of facilitation and empowerment.
- Learn techniques to support individual clients and business teams to transform negative behavioral patterns that inhibit or block personal awareness, productivity, creativity, empowerment and vision
- Improve intuitive personal skills of non-verbal awareness in communication (fine tuning the ability to connect and build healthy relationships with clients to reach positive results)
- Learn advanced personal development of cognitive awareness, simultaneous awareness in communication and creativity within your own business
- Learn advanced development in facilitation skills, non-verbal awareness of boundaries and skills related to opening space for others (clients and team members) to willingly move forward
»Graduate Level :
The second level in the Mentorship is for those that want to continue sustaining the alignment to self, gain a deeper understanding of the subtleties of this work and be in this place of continuing your own journey.
Now that you have learned the methodologies in the first year you can experience the deeper subtleties and expanse of application that it offers.
Includes 5 retreats, individual practicum and coaching, and graduate level training.
This program is available to those who have completed the Mentorship program at Epona Ridge.
WHEN IS THE NEXT MENTORSHIP?
There are four sessions held over a eight month period.
Teleconference call support throughout the Mentorship program, and six hours of one-on-one personal coaching for three months after the program ends.
Mentorship programs are designed and facilitated by Barbara for personal inspiration, creativity and clear guidance through individual attention. Due to the high level of personal focus, we have a limited group size.
WHERE IS THE MENTORSHIP?
All intensives are held at the beautiful retreat center at Epona Ridge in Asheville, NC. Some accommodations are available on site, on a first come basis.
It is difficult to find the words to describe the special vibrations all around the grounds of Epona Ridge. Maybe it is due to the quartz crystals that are throughout the land, or the expanding vortex in the forest that is a favorite spot for meditation and ceremony, or the horses and the love that permeates this space... but most definitely it is the synthesis of energy from each person that has been here before and has blessed this precious land with their light and awakening heart.
The ancient mountains in which Epona Ridge is nestled, lend a profound sense of connection and importance to the work that is done here.
You really must feel it to believe it. Click here to learn more about this exquisite, private sanctuary.
What Happens After the Mentorship Ends?
Those that complete the Epona Ridge Mentorship Program and have completed their practicum, will be eligible to apply for the graduate program offering advanced facilitator Graduate training and continued personal development and coaching as your business progresses. Specialty training and graduate self care retreats are offered annually.
We encourage you to learn more about the Mentorship Program by contacting Barbara to explore this opportunity further.

"I came to Epona Ridge to reintegrate and challenge myself into the world of others (and horses) in a spiritual and heartfelt way. Mission accomplished.... learning has opened the doors...as well as, forged the relationships that were fostered and cultivated.
I was able to look to the child within....the inner wisdom of the horse, connecting with others, and sharing this experience with a group of strong, beautiful woman. The opportunities were immense for spiritual healing and growth and I will never forget the time spent on that beautiful mountain in Asheville, NC. I am deeply grateful and appreciative for the opportunity of studying with you, Barbara at Epona Ridge.
I loved the journey....and love the journey that I will carry with me, in my present moments throughout this lifetime, and then some. "

"I wish I could really articulate how much I've changed and grown since January. I've also been able to see the changes in others that are fortunate enough to experience what you are creating at Epona Ridge... I came because I have been searching for a career/profession/vocation and the only thing I knew was I wanted whatever it was to make my heart sing and expand my soul. What I realized is that for all of the inner work I had done in my life in the career area I’d been looking so much outside of myself.
I looked at the Mentorship Program and liked that it took place over several months and was not just a week long thing then we were sent out into the world. "
"Throughout the mentorship program and other workshops I’ve attended at Epona Ridge there was always an emphasis on opening to and following one’s heart energy, something I feel you model for us. For me the time has helped me to go from understanding the concept of heart energy to really feeling heart energy and alignment. You taught me the lesson not just with the horses but in everyday living the value of rocking back and breathing and of feeling where my energy is."
